We represent clients in all aspect of labor relations including collective bargaining, union elections, grievance and arbitration proceedings, Labor Relations Commission proceedings, unfair labor practices, Civil Service Commission hearings, as well as state and federal court proceedings. We have experience in all other employee-related issues such as discrimination, harassment, family and medical leave issues and many other employment related problems.
It is important to remember that the collective bargaining agreement is the cornerstone of harmonious labor relations. Most, if not all, questions and disputes will be determined by what was negotiated and agreed to in the collective bargaining agreement. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate a strategic position toward bargaining, while acting in accordance with the requirement of negotiating in good faith. Additionally, the correct handling of grievances filed under collective bargaining agreements is essential in labor relations. Timeliness, precedents, and other factors must be carefully considered as future disputes are affected by current claims. We are very experienced in the training of stewards and managers in handling grievances, assisting in mediating claims, and participating in binding arbitration hearings.
